TEAM EFFORT
It was a complete ambush made by the Tamaraws. It was their Rebounding and their Defense that helped them out to secure the last Finals berth in the Season 74 of UAAP. Tolomia, Romeo, Escoto, Ramos, Garcia and the rest of the team gave their best and pulled out a 78-74 win over the No.2 AdU Falcons. It was a thriller from start to finish but Tams prevailed and outplayed the more motivated and more eager Falcons. FEU was the 7th team to beat the No.2 seed and went straight to the Finals. Now, they will face again the Blue Eagles in the Finals for a re-match and they have a chance to redeem their last year performance.

It was a hard fought game, no one wants to end their season there. AdU led by two points after two quarters, 33-35. Tams pulled away in the last part of the 3rd quarter and had their largest lead with 11 points, 59-70, but AdU came back again in the last 2 minutes of the game, they scored a quick 9 points and brought down the lead of Tams to 3 points, 71-74 and put FEU in limbo. Falcons had their chances but Tams rebounding dictated the outcome of the game.

TOLOMIA TO THE RESCUE
It's the young Tolomia who made his mark in this Do-or-Die game. He made crucial shots that kept the Tamaraws in the lead. He was awarded as the Best Player of the Game with, 19 points, 6 rebs., and 4 assts. He was part of the magical three-guard line up of Coach Bert Flores. The 3-point shots of FEU really hurt the Falcons especially in the 2nd half of the game. Tolomia was very consistent on attacking the hoop and taking 3's in the corner, where he made most of his outside shot. In the first half he scored only 6 points but exploded in the 3rd and 4th quarter for 13 points and led his team to another Finals appearance. He got help from Escoto who scored 9 points and grabbed 10 monster boards. The core three Romeo, Garcia and Ramos also gave Tolomia a lift to help their team along side the special effort from Carl Cruz in the first half.

Jerick Cañada

THE JERICK CAÑADA SHOW
He maybe a non-factor in the first half of their game against FEU but his show started in the last part of the game. He scored 9 straight points that brought life to his team, it was 65-74 in favor of FEU in the last 2:46 of the game. He made a free throw, a steal and a lay up in the inbound of FEU, and two 3-point shots, crucial back-to-back 3-point shots that brought down the lead of Tams to three points, 71-74. with 1:21 remaining in the game. He made a total of 10 points in the fourth and 14 points for the whole game.

Lozada made a strong effort in the 2nd quarter but shutdown in the 2nd half, Nuyles kept fighting and helping Cañada even if he was injured last game just to revive their team, but their efforts were not enough, especially the amazing run of the Cañada in the the last part of the game.

A BIG SALUTE FOR THE FALCONS
This team had a great season this year and they prove that they were also a Final Four caliber team. They finished strong in the elimination by giving the Blue Eagles their only lost in the season. They were very consistent and stayed as the No. 2 team for the whole season. With the staying Nuyles, Camson, Manyara and Etrone they have a solid foundation to start with and for those graduating, Alvares, Cañada, Lozada and Colina they made a very good run and they made their University proud for the contribution that they made for their team. This team will be back next year with a lot of reason to win the title.
