It's official!

Coach Tim Cone ended his contract with the Alaska Aces.
Yes, you read it right it is true, it's Coach Tim Cone.

It's really hard to imagine an Alaska team with out a Coach Tim Cone, but according to the story in Teledyaryo Sports, Coach Tim wants to explore new challenges outside Alaska, and The Team Management of Alaska accepted it and they assigned Coach Joel Banal as the new Head Coach of the team.

But who is Coach Tim Cone for Alaska?

1989 when Coach Tim Cone became the head coach of this formidable and Grandslam team.

He gave his heart and soul to this team for 22 years.

Cone led the Alaska Franchise to have one of the most number of championships with 13.
He was there when Alaska made its first appearance in the PBA Cahmpionship in 1990 but eventually lost to Purefoods. A year after that Alaska made a comeback to the PBA Finals and this time they made sure that they will take home their first ever title against the crowd favorite Ginebra San Miguel.

In 1994 Cone's team started a strong run in the PBA.
Alaska Milkmen built a strong team with "The Flying A" Johnny Abarrientos, Jojo Lastimosa, Bong Hawkins, "The Jet" Jeffrey Cariaso and Poch Juinio, they also had Sean Chambers as their import, this line up brought Alaska Franchise 8 Championship in 14 Conferences and in that run, they won a very rare Grandslam in the 1996 season.
