Two straight for the BOLTS

PBA on Tour: Meralco Bolts go head-to-head with B-Meg Llamados
Momentum Swing
After losing their first game with Talk 'N Text and losing Mac Cardona with injury, Meralco Bolts rode the bull and went to the opposite direction. They won their last two assignments including B-Meg and they played it pretty strong especially in the end.

Their match up with the Llamados was exciting from tip off up to the final buzzer.

Chico Lanete was on fire in their game. He scored a team high 24 points with 9 assists and 3 steals, almost a double-double performance for the veteran guard. The front line combination of Mark Isip and Asi Taulava had success in the paint while Mark Borboran, a late but very significant addition in the line-up of Bolts was one of the finishers of this game.

In the first three quarters Lanete and Isip did their job, Isip helped Lanete with 18 points and then Taulava with 8 points and Borboran with 10, took over in the end game.

B-Meg never gave up, they brought the fight to Meralco. James Yap scored 19 points while Raymundo added 15 points. Llamados made a threatening rally in the final quarter, they wrote a 20-10 run to cut the lead of Bolts to just 1-point, 77-76, but the Bolts answered with their own 6-0 run to post an 82-78 score with just 1:30 remaining in the game.

Llamados still had their chance to get back but Bolts stopped them with their tight defense and finished the game with a strong note, 84-78.

Bolts is now in the third spot of the standing with 2-1 win-lose card.

The role players of Meralco is slowly building their confidence in the game, could this be a blessing in disguised for Coach Ryan Gregorio? Because, when his Star players (Sol Meracdo, Mac Cardona and Reynel Hugnatan) return to the hard court plus the improved role payers, this will be a team that is hard to beat with all those weapon.

QUARTER SCORING:
17-15, 45-41, 68-60, 84-78
